We are excited to be working closely with a range of stakeholders across Wales to co-construct a new suite of GCSEs as part of ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wales’ ‘Qualified for the future’ project.
Our approach will ensure the new qualifications are inclusive, engaging, support the curriculum, and are fit for the future.
³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Wales has published their for the new suite of GCSEs. Our Qualification Development Team will now be actively engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to create inspiring, innovative and exciting qualifications for learners in Wales.
Here to support you
Our approved specifications for the first wave of Made-for-Wales GCSEs and related qualifications are now available. These specifications are available to teach from September 2025. A comprehensive assessment pack for each qualification, including detailed assessment arrangements and sample assessment materials, will then be published in December, followed by Guidance for Teaching in January.
